

Matthew Truwit
Matthew Truwit is a graduate student pursuing his doctorate in quantitative research methods in education and a master’s in statistics at the University of Michigan. He seeks to incorporate a comprehensive perspective on the developmental role of schooling with causal inference methodologies to evaluate the broad effectiveness of policies and programs designed to address educational inequity. Previously, Matthew taught high school social studies and coached soccer at a community school in north Nashville for four years. Before that, he earned a Bachelor of Science in psychology from Duke University and a Master of Education in social studies secondary education from Vanderbilt University.
