Anna Paulson

Predoctoral Research Fellow

Anna Paulson is a doctoral student at the Center for the Study of Higher and Postsecondary Education and an IES predoctoral fellow at the University of Michigan. Her research interests center on the effects of post-secondary curriculum on students, currently focusing on general education programs. She has a particular interest in how the tools of computational social science such as natural language processing and network analysis can be combined with causal inference methods to understand student learning. Prior to arriving at the University of Michigan, she worked as a residence hall director at Lawrence University. She holds a BA in philosophy and mathematics from Lawrence University and a master’s in higher education from the University of Michigan.
