Darian Burns

Research Assistant

Darian Burns is from Atlanta and is currently in her first year as a MPP candidate. Prior to coming to Michigan, she earned a B.A in both Urban Studies as well as Social Justice and Cultural Studies from Seattle Pacific University. Her interest in education policy was sparked at the PPIA Fellowship that she completed at the Ford School in 2019 so she’s excited to be welcomed on board officially. Her interests in education policy mostly lie in equitable access to educational opportunities and how race, class and housing intersect within this issue.
