Nicolás Fuertes Segura

Nicolás is a postdoctoral research fellow at the Education Policy Initiative, working on the links between free school meals, student performance and well-being. His research uses experimental and quasi-experimental data to study how social environments, public policies, and adverse early-life experiences shape human development and individual outcomes, particularly in developing countries. He holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of California, Santa Barbara, and an M.A. and a B.A. in Economics from Universidad de los Andes in Colombia. Before his doctoral studies, he worked at the Inter-American Development Bank.
