Andrew Simon is a Postdoctoral Scholar in the Department of Economics at the University of Chicago and the John Mitchell Lab.  Prior to that, Andrew was a Ph.D. candidate in economics at the University of Michigan and an Institute of Education Sciences predoctoral fellow. His research focuses on issues in public finance, urban economics, and labor economics, with a particular interest in higher education policy and the minimum wage. His job market paper studies the implications of property tax funding for community colleges.
