Nate Bauer

Assistant Dean for Financial Aid, University of Michigan Law School

Nate Bauer received his PhD from the Center for the Study of Higher and Postsecondary Education in the School of Education. Nate’s focus of study was public policy in postsecondary education, and he is very interested in financial aid policy and issues of access to higher education for low-income students. Nate works as the assistant dean of financial aid at the University of Michigan Law School.  He is interested in continuing to improve the federal student aid system and removing barriers to initial college enrollment for low-income students. Nate received a BS in interdisciplinary studies in social science from Michigan State University and a MA in educational policy and leadership studies from the University of Iowa.
