Stephanie Owen

Stephanie Owen graduated from the University of Michigan with a PhD in Economics and Public Policy in 2021 and is currently an Assistant Professor of Economics at Colby College. She studies the economics of education and is interested in interventions and policies with the potential to address inequities along various dimensions. Much of her work is focused on understanding gender gaps in college major choice. Her other work relates to socioeconomic differences in college access. All of her research uses large-scale administrative datasets and causal inference methods, including field experiments.
