How can I access and use the classifier?
We have a prototype software tool (see below) and are actively looking for colleagues to test it out and provide feedback. The initial tool permits users to upload a CSV file containing course subject codes and titles (and any other fields), run the classifier (at the 2-, 4-, and 6-digit level), and download the file with new CCM codes, labels, and probabilities attached. The tool can be installed on networked or air-gapped computers.
If you are actively working with course-level data (including student transcript data with course subject, numbers, and titles) and would like to test the tool or learn more, please email Kevin Stange ([email protected]). We also will host a small conference in Spring 2027 for users of the tool. Please let us know if you'd potentially interested in joining.
