Béla Figge

Béla Figge is a postdoctoral research fellow at the Education Policy Initiative, working with Kevin Stange to expand and document the Michigan Education Data Center's statewide data and to use it for research on higher education. His research uses large administrative datasets to study teacher labor markets, college affordability and financial aid, and how state policies shape students' paths from school into college and work. Béla's broader interests span labor and public economics. Before joining EPI, he worked as an economic consultant. He holds a PhD in Economics from Georgia State University and a BA in Economics from Bennington College.
