Matthew Truwit
Matthew Truwit is a graduate student pursuing his doctorate in quantitative research methods in education and a master’s in statistics at the University of Michigan. He seeks to build partnerships with policymakers and practitioners aimed at addressing educational inequity by collaboratively evaluating, interrogating, and improving policy around high-quality teaching and the holistic development of students. Previously, Matthew taught high school social studies and coached soccer in north Nashville for four years. Before that, he earned a Bachelor of Science in psychology from Duke University and a Master of Education in social studies secondary education from Vanderbilt University.
