Tiffany Wu

Tiffany Wu is a postdoctoral fellow at Carnegie Mellon University.  She received her PhD from the Combined Program in Education and Psychology (CPEP) at the University of Michigan. Her research weaves machine learning, AI, causal inference, and psychometric methods to design, evaluate, and scale PK-12 tools and interventions. She is deeply committed to using data science to advance educational opportunity and equity. Through research-practice partnerships, she aims to make her research accessible, practice-relevant, and responsive to the lived experiences of students, families, and practitioners across diverse educational contexts.

Tiffany's research is deeply influenced by her previous work as a public high school teacher in Chicago and then as a research analyst for an education non-profit prior to starting her PhD. Tiffany received a B.S. in secondary education and history from Northwestern University and a M.A. in psychology from the University of Chicago.
