Susan Dynarski was voted president-elect of the Association for Education Finance and Policy (AEFP) during the organization’s 41st conference, March 17-19, 2016. Dynarski will serve as president-elect in 2017 and will become the organization’s 43rd president in 2018.
AEFP is a not-for-profit association that works ”to tackle important education finance issues” and “to promote understanding of [the] means by which resources are generated, distributed, and used to enhance human learning.”
This year’s AEFP conference, held in Denver, Colo., focused on “The perils of research irrelevance: Balancing data use against privacy.” The 2017 conference will be held in Washington, DC (March 16-18) and the 2018 conference in Portland, OR (March 15-18).
AEFP also publishes the journal Education Finance and Policy, “devoted to examining the policy implications, scholarly basis, and operational practices on which the financing of education institutions and systems is based.”
