Ford School faculty members David Cohen, Susan Dynarski, and Brian Jacob made the 2016 RHSU Edu-Scholar list of the top 200 U.S.-based university scholars, “who are doing the most to influence education policy and practice.”
The list, which was announced today by Education Week, attempts “to nudge universities, foundations, and professional associations to do more to cultivate, encourage, and recognize contributions to the public debate.”
“Simply being included in this list of 200 scholars is an honor, given the tens of thousands who might qualify,” says Rick Hess of the American Enterprise Institute, author of the “Rick Hess Straight Up” (RHSU) Education Week blog.
Ford School alum Susanna Loeb (MPP ‘94) also made the list. Loeb is the Barnett Family Professor of Education at Stanford University and former director of Stanford’s Center for Education Policy Analysis (2006-2015).
To see the 2016 rankings rubric, which was designed to reflect “both a scholar's larger body of work and their impact on the public discourse last year,” visit the 2016 RHSU Edu-Scholar Public Influence Rankings.
